Athlete of the Week
The Athletic Department would like to recognize the following students for their outstanding efforts during the last week of practice and competition. It is my privilege to also recognize our Athlete of the Week as Emilia Viveiros!
Athlete of the Week
Varsity Softball
Emilia Viveiros
Pitcher for softball. Batted 600 this week and her on base percentage was 667. She had 3 hits which earned a single and 2 doubles. Her hits got her 2 RBI's. In pitching she won one game and lost one. She had 7 strike outs and only 3 walks. Out of the games total runs of 14 she only had 6 earned runs. She is a highly dedicated player on and off the field. She puts more time in then any other athlete that I know of. She also was the only softball player that has ever had a grand slam over the fence hit going all the way back to the 90's.
Varsity Baseball
Riley King
Senior Riley King batted .375 over the course of 3 games, including a double and a triple against Millville. Riley's on base percentage for the week was .444, and he only struck out once in 9 plate appearances. Riley has continued to be a field general in center field, playing errorless and showing great leadership. Finally, even though it is not a normal position for him; Riley was on the mound for 1 2/3 innings for Sullivan recording 4 strikeouts in just a short time.
JH Boys Soccer
Aiden Sperry
Scored two goals in consecutive games against South Williamsport and Millville over the course of last week in April. Gives 100% in practice and during games. Has positive attitude with himself, his teammates and coaches.
JH Girls Soccer
Ansley Baldwin
Ansley scored a stellar goal last week from outside the box and has contributed to the team's success through her efforts on the field.
