Athlete of the Week
The Athletic Department would like to recognize the following students for their outstanding efforts during the last week of practice and competition. It is my privilege to also recognize our Athlete of the Week as Ben Carpenter!
Athlete of the Week
Boys Varsity Basketball
Ben Carpenter
Ben scored 24 points in two games, and he hit the game winner at the buzzer in the Troy game to send us on to the championship game. Ben also guarded one of the other team's top players in each game while handling the responsibility of being our primary ball handler. He was a no-brainer for the all-tournament team. Congratulations Ben!
JH Girls Basketball
Ansley Baldwin
Ansley was a huge asset to the team. She not only was she the high scorer with 59 points for the season. She helped the other girls on the court. She was willing to play down to help the younger girls understand some of the game. She overall was a great player stealing the ball, assisting with shots, pulling rebounds down, and handling the ball. We are proud to nominate Ansley Baldwin for athlete of the week. Awesome job Ansley!
Varsity Wrestling
Jamie Roman
Jamie won his first ever wrestling match over the weekend. Jamie is our starter at 215 pounds and complied 2 wins by fall this past weekend at the DKI tournament and was one match away from placing. Great job Jamie!
JH Wrestling
Wyatt Bagley
Wyatt won all four of his matches on Saturday at the Spartan Duals in Hughesville. He won his last match of the day in the last seconds giving him a 13-12 win. Keep it up Wyatt!
